Willie van Aalst started 4Solar in January 2017 after a collaboration with renowned solar EPC companies in the Netherlands, such as Solar Clarity, IBC Solar, and KiesZon.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, he has more than 20 years of experience as an electrical engineer at various companies. This experience helped him get acquainted with Grid Connections and high-voltage installations, which became useful in his startup 4Solar.

His software skills include SketchUp, AutoCAD (BricsCAD), Virtuosolar, PVSyst, PV-Sol, and Kabel++. Due to his extensive experience and network, he also provides design advice to other designers and installers of PV installations.
